Grace: Owner & Head Teacher
Grace Siddington, owner and head teacher at Glendon Farm Montessori and Forest School Nursery

I have worked in education in many different capacities over the last ten
years, in search of a type of education that is inspiring, child-led and brings
learning to life. I have truly found that in Montessori classrooms.

I trained at the Montessori Centre International in London and qualified as a Montessori Directress. I worked in a beautiful Montessori nursery near Chelsea, London and also attended university to achieve my 'Early Years Teacher Status'. I left to have our eldest son before starting a Montessori childminding service and running Montessori Parent and Toddler groups as 'Grace's Montessori'.

Working so closely with parents through these courses, and hearing so much
positivity about how the Montessori method has improved their family's lives
has fired my passion to share this incredible method with more children. My
aim is to make this a place where children develop a lifelong love of learning,
and become confident and caring citizens of the world.

Thomas: Owner & Deputy Headteacher
Thomas Siddington, owner and teacher at Glendon Farm Montessori and Forest School Nursery

With inspiration from bringing up our two sons, and with previous experience teaching scriptwriting and film production to young people at Interplay theatre company in Leeds, teaching English in the UK, Spain and Vietnam to toddlers, I am thrilled to be  an Early Years Teacher.

I  am a fully qualified forest school Leader  and have a Level 6 Early Years Teacher Status qualification from Pen Green Educational Research Base. As a songwriter and scriptwriter, imagination and play have been my passions since I can remember.

I want Glendon Farm Montessori to be full of fun and adventure every day. When children are happy and secure, and their environment is well designed, their imaginations thrive and they reach a deep state of learning which is really magical to see.

A child-led approach to learning that nurtures children's self-esteem
